Rennick now in the right place

Krista Rennick was in the right place at the right time. And she didn't even know it. After the first day of the University of Regina women's volleyball tryouts in September, Rennick was told by her roommate, Jaclyn Rogoschewsky, that there was an opening at the setting position.

A sideline diagnosis of March Madness

We're down to the Sweet Sixteen already, but I'll bet there are very few fans who managed to predict the extent to which the madness would go. For those for whom "Sweet Sixteen" or "Elite Eight" or "Final Four" means nothing, in this month of all months, I'm talking about March Madness, a.k.a. the only time many Canadians could give a rat's ass about NCAA basketball.

Lies on Sports: The Red Cougars coming to town

The University of Regina announced Tuesday that their long search to replace men's hockey head coach, Bill Liskowich, is finally over. Dick White, seemed to beam when he announced Vladimir Tikanov as the new head coach. Tikanov, the former coach of the Central Red Army, has lead the Russian team to 4 Olympic gold medals and several World Championships. He is revered by most hockey enthusiasts as a great coach, however, to players he is known as a "slave driver".
