FTA rises to the occasion

FTA have only been together for four short months but in this time have already opened for such bands as the New Meanies and the Killjoys. They are about to record a three song demo with a studio executive who has worked with such acts as Aerosmith and Bryan Adams.

Keeping things in a Moral Panic

Moral Panic, local hardcore band, have recently released their latest cd Whispers from the Qu'appelle. They are also putting on a special all ages benefit in support of the APEC Protesters Legal Defence Fund. The benefit on Saturday, November 21 at the University Centre also doubles as a cd release party. Special guests are Saskatoon's Oswald's Walking Connection. The Carillon had a chance to speak with lead singer Colin Hall regarding the band.

Blood Wedding success

Set in a timeless era of rituals and hardships, Kelly Handerek's production of Blood Wedding took the audience on an emotional yet captivating journey. The play that graced the stage at the Schumiatcher stage this past week was originally created by Federico Garcia Lorca. The University of Regina Theatre Department decided to go with this and began the new year with a Spanish feel.
