Women's Voice

On behalf of the University of Regina Women's Centre we would like to thank the following individuals for their help, involvement, and support in organizing the celebration of the International Women's Day Mosiac:
  Sangeeta Virmani, Reena Pandya, Amita Kumar, Lorran Wild, Amnesty International, Red River Jig, Women in Theatre including Corina, Michelle, Christy, & Kris Loketo, Gina Hall and the Highland Dancers, and Cynthia Munroe. These performers were fantastic !!!!
  The following individuals also deserve a huge thanks as they made food for us all to enjoy: Mrs. Balbir Basi, the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College Student Association, the Regina Engineering Student Society, and the Immigrant Women of Saskatchewan.

to Barbara Powell for the kind words and for taking time to celebrate the day with us.
  Amnesty International, RETAN, Canadian Federation of Students, Marnie Bramwell with the Sexual Harassment Office, Crossroads International, Eugenia Argue, and World of Trout deserve thanks for setting up informational tables and spending the day with us!!!
  Jessie Dishaw and Stacey Fayant displayed art in the multi-purpose room for the mosiac!!!
  A giant thanks to the Students' Union, SAGE (Students Advocating Gender Equality), and the Canadian Federation of Students for funding for the event!
  A warm thanks to the following Women's Centre volunteers who helped serve food for the event-Eva Ebergenyi, Erin O'Hara, Dana Tillusz, Chi
Chi Njohy, Hitomi Suzuta, Melanie Strand, Sean Froc, Angie Schroeder, Shelley Darroch, Jennifer Adams, Nonie De Long, Jennifer Lowry, Maureen Imrie, Cynthia McKetsky, Kathleen Harmer, Cheri Yaganiski, and Jamie MCGough.
  Thanks to Jo Overby & Jodi Byrne for taking time to run around the city of Regina and pick up door prizes. Thanks to Ysanne Halliwell and Jo Overby for organizing the door prizes at the last minute too.
  And finally, a special thanks to Tina Basi, Shannon Williams and Tara Smith for all their hard work and dedication in planning this successful event. You will all be greatly missed next year but you should be proud to know that you have left your mark on the University of Regina!
